John joined Motion Plus Physiotherapy in October 2015 following his graduation from the Masters in Physiotherapy program at Western University. John is also a graduate of Brock University where he completed his honors Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences. John has been a Clinical Instructor to Physiotherapy students in the McMaster catchment area and coordinates our undergraduate student volunteer program. In January 2022, John joined the leadership team as a Partner and Assistant Clinical Director.
John has a strong interest in manual therapy, active rehabilitation and concussion management physiotherapy in the treatment of sports and orthopedic injuries. He has completed his acupuncture training at the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute (AFCI) and is qualified to use acupuncture in the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. John has also completed his certification in integrated dry needling (IDN).
John has successfully completed his McKenzie Part A – Lumbar Spine, Part B – Cervical and Thoracic Spine. He has completed both the upper and lower extremity Mulligan Concept courses and his introductory and advanced vestibular courses through the Dizziness and Balance Rehabilitation Clinic. He has completed Shift’s Concussion Management and is certified to treat concussions. He completed his Level 2 manual therapy coursework through the Orthopedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
